Galvin Library, in cooperation with the Office of Technology Services (OTS), has laptops available for Illinois Tech students to borrow that can be used outside of the library. All of the laptops have the needed course software, and borrowing time is four hours, with a one-time renewal option of an additional four hours. Having laptops to use outside of the library can be helpful for IPRO or other group work, or as a backup if personal laptops are out of service and an assignment is due. Note this service is not available during hours that the library is closed (Friday and Saturday nights) and laptops cannot be used off-campus. Students need their IIT ID to check out a laptop, and there is limited availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
