Armour Mission to “Hippie Modernism” presented by University Archives and Special Collections (UASC)

On Tuesday, October 3 at 1:00 PM the University Archives and Special Collections (UASC) staff at Paul V. Galvin Library will discuss the history of IIT—from the founding of the Armour Institute of Technology and Lewis Institute through the 1960's—using materials from the collection. Following a thirty-minute presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to browse materials including early wire recorders, photographs, projects, and academic catalogs from the New Bauhaus and Institute of Design, and Bronzeville community history materials.

University Archives and Special Collections (UASC) is located on the lower-level of Galvin Library in the southwest corner of the building. Learn more about UASC's mission and resources by visiting the IIT Archives page.
