Mission Statement

A branch of the Paul V. Galvin Library, the mission of the Graham Resource Center (GRC) is to support the curriculum goals and educational aims of the College of Architecture (CoA) at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). The GRC is charged with meeting all library-related needs of the CoA and responsibilities include: acquiring, preserving, and serving materials in myriad formats to CoA students, faculty, and staff; providing reference and research assistance to local, national, and international visitors about architecture in general and IIT and Mies van der Rohe in particular, and; providing bibliographic instruction to all GRC and Architecture researchers and users. The GRC's primary responsibility is to provide to its users service, materials, and instruction befitting a historically significant Architectural program and to act with passion, historical awareness, and intelligence in assisting the Dean, the faculty, and the students in their academic pursuits.
