Civil Engineering
Virtual Library
This site, hosted by the Georgia Institute of Technology, is an extension of the
WWW Virtual Library project specializing in information related to Civil Engineering.
It provides links to numerous free websites, organized into Commercial, Educational,
Organizational, and Journal groups. The database of links is completely searchable
to provide easy viewing.
CodeCheck
Codecheck is a swift way of checking for the most common violations of building
codes. It is not meant to supercede the printed local Codes, but merely to emphasize
the central life-safety principles that underlie building codes throughout the United
States.
iCivilEngineer

designed for civil engineers. Its main emphasis is in news and current awareness,
with many links to civil engineering news, new civil engineering projects, new journal
articles, and mail and discussion groups. It also includes a career center with
links to PE Exam guides, job openings, and academic programs.
Geotechnical Engineering
GROW: Geotechnical, Rock,
& Water Resources Library
GROW is a collection of electronic resources and news related to geotechnical engineering,
rock mechanics, and water resources.
NISEE: National Information
Service for Earthquake Engineering
A collection of resources on earthquake engineering from the University of California,
Berkeley. Some resources on this site are available only to students and faculty
of UC Berkeley. Freely available sections include the William G. Godden Structural
Engineering Slide Library (http://nisee.berkeley.edu/godden), V.V. Bertero's web-based
Introduction to Earthquake Engineering (http://nisee.berkeley.edu/bertero), and
