E-Journal Collections
= Restricted to IIT students, faculty, and staff.
Galvin Library subscribes to several collections of on-line journals relevant to biomedical engineering. These typically have a search feature built in to the interface, although it is usually not as sophisticated or powerful as the search features in the library's research databases. Noteworthy collections are:
IEEE Xplore - Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
IEEE Xplore contains the full text of publications from the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and the Institution of Electrical Engineers. Sources include full text journal articles, conference reports, conference proceedings, standards, and society papers. The database contains more than 450,000 articles in over 12,000 individual publications. In addition, IEEE adds about 25,000 new pages per month, which builds upon a back file of content published since 1988.
Liebert Online
Liebert Online provides electronic access to peer-reviewed journals published by Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. Includes over 30,000 papers from more than 60 journals, all full-text searchable and linked to external bibliographic databases.
Optics InfoBase
InfoBase is the Optical Society of America's online repository of both current and past volumes of all its journals. It also contains recent proceedings from OSA conferences. The InfoBase search engine -- displayed on the main InfoBase web page -- allows users to find articles with simple search, advanced search, and lookup/browse features.
