Visitors

There is no access to Biegler Library for members of the general public. Guests of IIT students, faculty, and staff as well as members of the public attending conferences and public events held at Rice Campus will be permitted to use Biegler Library throughout the duration of the event.

Campus guests may use the library's public computers for up to 2 hours at a time; print, copy, and scan documents; and use library resources within the library. For more information, or for assistance in using library resources, ask a library staff member.

Library staff reserve the right to limit access to materials, resources, or equipment needed by IIT students and faculty. Visitors must conduct themselves in a way that does not disrupt the study environment of the library or threaten damage to library collections, resources, facilities, or equipment.

Each visitor under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult, 21 years of age or older. In addition, parents are responsible for the use of the library and the behavior of their children. Visitors who fail to adhere to these policies will be asked to leave the library.
