Academic Search Premier 
Considered the world's largest multi-discipline full-text database of scholarly knowledge, this database is a good place to start searching for information on almost any topic. Covering all areas of academic study, this database contains indexing and abstracting for more than 8,200 magazines and journals, of which more than 3,600 are full-text peer-reviewed publications.
Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals 
"Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals, published by the Getty Research Institute, is the only comprehensive American guide to the current literature of architecture and design. Avery's editorial office is at Columbia University, New York, NY. This database surveys more than 2,500 US and foreign journals. The index covers international, scholarly and popular periodical literature, including publications of professional associations; US state and regional periodicals; and major serial publications in the architecture and design of Europe, Asia, Latin America and Australia. In addition, this database also provides nearly 13,000 citation records for architects' obituaries."
Compendex 
Compendex is the definitive bibliographic database of worldwide engineering literature trusted by engineering researchers worldwide. With over ten million records that reference more than 5,600 scholarly journals, trade magazines and conference proceedings, Compendex covers an unmatched breadth and quality of engineering publications.
CumInCAD 
"CumInCAD is a cumulative index of publications about computer-aided architectural design. It includes bibliographic information about over 8,700 records from journals and conferences such as ACADIA, CAADRIA, eCAADe, SiGraDi, CAAD futures, DDSS and others. All papers include full abstracts. Full texts, in PDF, of some 6,000 papers are also available."

Online database of doctoral dissertations and master's theses. Full-text is available for many items, and ordering/purchasing information is included for those items with no full-text.
Emporis 
Dedicated to documenting tall buildings, Emporis is the world's largest publicly available database on architectural and building data. News, photographs, renderings, and firm data are collected by over 700 editors for more than 50,000 cities worldwide. These experienced authors and correspondents report 24 hours a day on new projects and developments in architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate with a high regard for accurate and reliable information. Emporis's goal is to list every structure in the world which is of public or commercial interest; from a hut to a skyscraper. This resource will be particularly useful to Architecture and Civil Engineering researchers.
JSTOR 
JSTOR (Journal STORage) is an archive of important scholarly journals in a variety of subject related to the humanities, physical sciences, and social sciences. Articles are scanned and viewable as exact duplicates from the original copy of the journal. JSTOR is not the place to search for the most current research, but overall is an excellent multidisciplinary database containing articles from many essential peer-reviewed sources. Subjects covered include Anthropology, Architecture, Biology, Business, Economics, Education, History, Language & Literature, Law, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Public Policy & Administration, Religion, Sociology, and Statistics.
MADCAD 
MADCAD is a state-of-the-art subscription based reference database online, containing building codes, knowledge-based design solutions and, guidelines to meet the codes. MADCAD will provide you access to cross-referenced collections of building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire, and maintenance codes from BOCA, SBCCI, ICBO, ICC, and NFPA. Project Muse 
This database offers a comprehensive selection of prestigious humanities, arts, and social sciences journals. Every journal is indexed and peer-reviewed. Project MUSE contains articles scanned as exact replicas in pdf format.
